After Chvrches and Kristen Stewart's collaborative music video benefiting Planned Parenthood was teased last week, the visual was officially released on Friday (April 28).
The Stewart-directed piece features a live version of Chvrches' Every Eye Open track "Down Side of Me," which is included in a new compilation called 7-inches for Planned Parenthood. In it, the Stewart favors closeups on her subject's eyes and hands, including the Scottish trio as they perform in the studio.
In a press release, Chvrches frontwoman Lauren Mayberry said, "'Down Side Of Me' was not written specifically for this project but I really like how the lyrics can be interpreted in a way that supports the goal of the project as a whole. We should all be able to have faith that our governments are working in our best interests - and if they aren't then, they should be challenged and held to account. 'I'll believe that you're all that you said you would be.'"
The 7-inches for Planned Parenthood vinyl box set is expected to ship in the fall and purchases now for $100 include a digital version of the compilation. All proceeds from sales -- or about half the gross profits -- will go to benefit Planned Parenthood, according to the website. The set includes contributions from John Legend, Bjork, Common, Feist, Bon Iver, St. Vincent, Foo Fighters and many more. Order and see the full list of participants here.
