Childish Gambino Teases New Album ...Awaken, My Love!

By Noah Yoo and Sheldon Pearce.

Fans on the internet have been speculating about Donald Glover’s next studio album as Childish Gambino for months. Earlier this week, rumors began swirling that a new Gambino album called Awaken, My Love! would be released on December 2, after a release schedule from an FYE music store surfaced online. Now, Glover has teased artwork with the same title on Twitter. Find the art below. The artwork appeared in “Juneteenth,” episode nine of Glover’s FX show “Atlanta,” displayed on a mantle. The follow-up to 2013’s Because the Internet seems to be on the way.

This past June, Glover debuted new music at a string of shows in Joshua Tree, California. “Atlanta” just wrapped up its first season. The network renewed it for a second 10-episode season mid-season. Glover was recently cast as a young Lando Calrissian in the forthcoming 2018 Han Solo Star Wars film.
