Celebrities Sing Along With Sleater-Kinney in ‘No Cities to Love’

Legendary Olympic indie-rock trio Sleater-Kinney has reunited after a nearly decade-long hiatus, and understandably, many of the band’s famous friends/fans find this cause for celebration.

That’s why everyone from Andy Samberg to Connie Britton to fellow ’90s icon J Mascis are singing Sleater-Kinney’s praises (literally) in the new video for the title track from the group’s comeback album, No Cities to Love

Among the other celebrities singing (not lip-synching) to “No Cities” are Sarah Silverman, SNL's Vanessa Bayer, Ellen Page, Natasha Lyonne, ex-My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way, Evan Rachel Wood, filmmaker/author Miranda July, Brie Larson, Norman Reedus, and Sleater-Kinney member Carrie Brownstein’s Portlandia co-star Fred Armisen.

Brownstein and her bandmates Corin Tucker and Janet Weiss eventually show up as well, of course, effectively answering the question “Who sang it best?”

No Cities to Love comes out on Sub Pop next Tuesday, Jan. 20.
