Bob Philips has been elevated to the newly created position of chief revenue officer at CBS Radio, overseeing the media company's revenue-generating efforts across all platforms. Aside from developing effective sales strategies for current clients, Philips has been tasked with finding ways to attract new revenue streams across local radio, digital products and live events.
Philips has served as CBS Radio's senior vp of sales since last year. He started managing CBS' four-station Baltimore market in 2000, and before that held positions at Infinity Broadcasting and American Radio Systems.
"Bob's extensive radio and sales experience make him ideal to accelerate our efforts as we enter a new phase of the business," said CBS Radio president Andre Fernandez. "His deep understanding of corporate, customer, category, and channel strategies will be instrumental in generating new revenue opportunities and ensuring our ability to deliver top-tier financial results."
Philips is based at CBS Radio's NYC headquarters.
