Dance superstar Calvin Harris scores the top debut on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs as "Slide," featuring Frank Ocean and Migos, enters at No. 13 (on the chart dated March 18). The song simultaneously bows at No. 34 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100.
The R&B-tinged track earns Harris his second entry on the chart, following a 20-week stint as a feature on Rihanna's "We Found Love" in 2012 (No. 54 peak). The arrival gives Ocean his second-highest charting song (after "Thinkin Bout You" peaked at No. 7 in 2012) and Migos' third-best.
93 percent of the new song's debut frame points came from streams and song sales, including 11.2 million streams in the U.S. in the week ending March 2, according to Nielsen. Of the streaming total, 49 percent stem from Spotify plays. "Slide" sold 42,000 downloads in its first week, earning a No. 12 start on the Digital Song Sales chart.
'Shether' Sells: Over on Rap Digital Song Sales, Remy Ma takes a top 10 debut, landing at No. 9 with her Nicki Minaj diss track, "Shether," selling 16,000 downloads. The MC raps over Nas' Jay Z diss track, "Ether," from his 2001 set Stillmatic (his response to Jay Z's "Takeover"). "Shether" also lands at No. 8 on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart, a weekly ranking of the most shared and/or mentioned songs on Twitter in the U.S.
Future & Rihanna Team Up: Future arrives at No. 15 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs with "Selfish," featuring Rihanna, boosted, in part, by 9.5 million weekly streams and 45,000 downloads. The melodic tune is the highest ranking song from his album HNDRXX, which concurrently debuts atop the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums lists, just one week after his self-titled set also crowned both charts. "Selfish" also marks Future's first Hot R&B Songs hit as a lead act (and 11th overall), bowing at No. 7 on the nearly five-year-old ranking.
