Watch Tame Impala's Trippy Puppet Video for 'Cause I'm a Man'

by Lars Brandle

Why have just one music video when you can have two? That’s the angle Tame Impala has gone with by releasing a follow-up promo to the single “‘Cause I’m A Man.”

Directed by Dan Dipaola and Megan McShane, the so-called “official live video" sees the band members replaced with puppets and performing with a liquid light show. Frontman Kevin Parker’s mini-me is easy to spot; he’s the puppet up front without shoes.

Tame Impala had already released an animated clip for “'Cause I’m A Man” earlier in May. The song was the second lifted from the buzzworthy outfit’s forthcoming third album, Currents, though it was billed as its first official single.

The 13-track Currents is the follow-up to the psychedelic rock group’s critically-adored sophomore album Lonerism from 2012. It's due for worldwide release July 17 through Universal Music affiliates.
