Bruno Mars will return to the stage on Nov. 6 for the debut live global performance of his new single, "24K Magic," at the 2016 MTV EMAs. The three-time EMA winner is the first performer announced for the show, which will be broadcast from the Ahoy Rotterdam in Rotterdam, Netherlands, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, marking Mars' third EMA performance and first since a 2013 run through "Gorilla."
The 24K Magic album (due Nov. 18) quickly debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart; the Trending 140 chart measures the real-time acceleration of conversation around artists and their music on Twitter. The video features Mars partying, drinking and playing roulette in Las Vegas, and has clocked 20.7 million global views on YouTube since its release. More performers and presenters for the 2016 EMAs will be announced soon.
"We're thrilled to announce Bruno's return to EMAs, and can't imagine a more appropriate way to jump start our biggest night of the year," said Bruce Gillmer, EVP of music and talent programming for MTV International (and executive producer of the 2016 MTV EMAs) in a statement. "Many more surprises to follow!"
