Hollywood headed east to Arcadia for the 30th running of the Breeders’ Cup on Nov. 2 at Santa Anita Park.

Between horse races Kristin Chenoweth, Toni Braxton (pictured), Babyface, Macy Gray, Joan Osborne, Dame and Jenny O sang as part of the Songs in the Saddle concert. Richie Sambora played the “Call to Post” on his guitar while Braxton belted out the “Star Spangled Banner.”

Elizabeth Banks paused on her way to present the Breeders’ Cup Classic trophy to talk about her love of horse racing.

“I was introduced to the sport by my father in Saratoga. And it was cemented by ‘Seabiscuit,’” she said, referring to the 2003 movie.

Jerry Ferrara said he loved to come to the race track and enjoyed the beautiful day. Discussing the recently announced “Entourage” movie he said the delay “got blown out of proportion.” Still he admitted, “it’s nice people are waiting to see the movie.”

Gary Barber of MGM had a horse running in the classic, which was won by Mucho Macho Man.
