In an unexpected collaboration, Brad Paisley and Mick Jagger sing about the morning after a one-night stand on their new duet "Drive of Shame." The song is from Paisley's latest album, Love and War, which came out Friday.
"Now as the sun comes up/ It's shining light/ On the big mistake I made last night," the music icons belt about the all-too-familiar experience of trying to get home in the early hours of the morning, hungover and embarrassed as strangers silently judge.
Paisley's Southern twang mixed with a strong guitar melody and riffs, along with Jagger's bluesy sound, make for a natural crossover of country and rock and roll.
Jagger is no stranger to stepping into country music world. In 2015, the rocker teamed up with Eagles frontman Don Henley for the country tune, "Bramble Rose."
"Drive of Shame" isn't the only collaboration on the album. Timbaland, Bill Anderson and John Fogerty also contributed to the country singer's 11th studio album, his most diverse yet.
