Stop The Presses!

I can't think of anything cooler than having Vince Neil of Motley Crüe sing on stage with your middle/high school band... if this were 1984. BUT in 2012,  it's still touching the rock star stratos to have the heavy metal mainstay sing one of his biggest hits with you and invite on stage a certain kind of lady your parents impose internet content blockers for.

Impressive teen rock band Going Dark had the rare pleasure of living a dream last weekend at a Crüe afterparty when Neil got on stage with porn star Lisa Ann, certainly blowing the minds of the 12, 14 and 16-year-old members. This ain't no school dance, baby!

In a world where most tween and teen boys are likely listening to some sort of beach punk or dubstep, Going Dark does hard rock in its purest form. It's quite shocking just how talented these kids are and how accurate they can capture a sound far older than themselves, considering it's doubtful most kids their age even know or care who Mötley Crüe is. But just take a listen to their shred-happy, positively-messaged song, "Stand Up" that has boxing champion Sergio Martinez introducing it.
