Rapper Tone Loc--best known for his '80s party hits "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina"--gave fans a scare late Saturday night when he collapsed on stage during a Des Moines appearance.

According to the Des Moines Register, the 47-year-old (whose real name is Anthony Terrell Smith), finished up a song, and then went down. The show was terminated abruptly, with fans being told to leave after a few minutes.

No word has been released as to the cause of his collapse. Loc's rep, Bobby Bessone, told us Monday that "Tone is fine"--and that he was treated immediately and taken back to his hotel room following the incident. He was able to fly home the next day.

Loc was performing at the local Bridge Bash, which was held as part of the weekend's St. Patrick's Day festivities.

According to TMZ, this is not the first time Loc has had such issues. He's fallen on stage in 2009, 2011, and 2012. The latter two incidents were chalked up to exhaustion by his management.
