It looks like Rihanna isn’t feeling quite as sparkly as her “Diamonds” tour name would suggest. The pop superstar has had to cancel another date on her world tour because she’s feeling under the weather.
Concert promoter Live Nation announced Monday that she was cancelling that evening’s concert in Houston “as a result of illness” and that fans should hold on to their tickets and redeem them at a rescheduled show.
The 25-year-old, whose tumultuous on-again, off-again romance with singer Chris Brown frequently makes headlines, recently pulled the plug on shows in Baltimore and Boston because she was suffering from laryngitis.
Although she hasn’t yet commented on cancelling her Houston gig, she had this to say via Twitter about cancelling the earlier dates: “I hate disappointing people that never ever let me down!! I'm so embarrassed about this! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!"
The Barbados-born babe is supporting her most recent album, Unapologetic, which features the hits “Stay” and “Diamonds.” She’s scheduled to perform Tuesday in Dallas, Texas before continuing the tour, hitting several cities in North America and then heading to Europe for a series of dates next month.
