Playlist: The Eagles Family Tree

To this day, no band has been able to blend the genres of rock and country music into the kind of success that the Eagles have achieved. The band has earned six Grammy awards and six number one albums during their career, and their compilation, Their Greatest Hits (1971—1975), is tied with Michael Jackson's Thriller as the best selling album of all time in the United States, with just under 30 million copies sold.

The Eagles got their start when four members of Linda Ronstadt's back-up band (Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Randy Meisner & Bernie Leadon) singed with David Geffen to release an album on Geffen's brand new label, Asylum Records. The debut album spawned three hit singles and the band was off and running.

The band would go on to become an international sensation and are classic rock radio staples to this day.

For this playlist I've selected songs released on solo albums of Eagles members, as well as tracks by other bands they have been a part of.

If you're a fan of the Eagles this is a playlist you should not miss.
