One Direction’s Niall destroys Barack Obama waxwork

One Direction are usually as nice in person as they are looking so we're shocked to discover that Niall Horan has trashed his treasured 18th birthday present.

To celebrate his coming into adulthood the boy's band mates — Harry, Louis, Zayn and Liam clubbed together and bought him a Barack Obama waxwork.

Instead of placing the pricey statue somewhere safe, Niall kept it outside and uncovered on his balcony despite his well-known obsession for the American president.

After some time, the waxwork has been destroyed by cold weather, pollution and bird droppings.

Niall told The Sun: "I've got Obama sitting outside on the balcony.

"I like him out there because you can see people doing a double take then looking confused.

"He's beginning to feel the effects of the weather though. I don't think he's supposed to be left in the open."

Erm no Niall, he's not!

One Direction will be heading to B&Q soon to restore the gift to pristine condition with Harry Styles saying: "We'll have to buy some specialist varnish for Niall's next birthday. Obama's going to need a bit of a refurb."

We hope the boys learnt their lesson in time for Harry's birthday as the boys plan to treat him to a Mick Jagger waxwork in February.
