"The X Factor USA" Season 3 is cranking into high gear, as the series moves on to its live shows...but across the pond, last year's very worthy "X Factor U.K." champion, James Arthur, is gearing up to release his self-titled debut album on Syco Records, due out Nov. 4.

The talented, gruff-voiced 25-year-old troubadour from Middlesbrough won Season 9 of "The X Factor U.K." last December, with 53.7 percent of the vote; his first single, a rock 'n' soul cover of Shontelle's "Impossible," sold more than 187,000 downloads within 24 hours of its release, making James the fastest-selling winner in the show's history and "Impossible" the seventh biggest-selling debut single from any "X Factor" contestant (with nearly half a million downloads total). But now with James Arthur, James is about to show what he can really do, as he has writing credit on all 12 of the album's original lovely tracks, including "Roses," a duet and co-write with the fabulous Emeli Sande.

Check out snippets of all of James Arthur's tracks in the player below. This guy really does have the X-factor, and I'm hoping he'll soon be selling singles as quickly in the States as he did in his native Britain.
