Rap superstar Lil Wayne was admitted to the hospital late last night (April 30) after suffering another seizure, TMZ has reported.
Tuesday evening, Wayne, 30, suffered a single seizure and was rushed by his bodyguards to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was treated and released on Wednesday morning.
Dowplaying the situation, Wayne tweeted, "I’m fine. Thank u," Wednesday at 11:23am California time.
In March, Wayne announced that he has epilepsy after he suffered several seizures in March and spent nearly a week at Cedars-Sinai recovering.
"The thing is, man, the bad news is, I'm an epileptic, so I'm prone to seizures," he told L.A. radio station Power 106. "I've had a bunch of seizures. Y'all just never hear about it. This time it got real bad because I got three of 'em in a row, and on the third one, my heart rate went down to, like, 30 percent. Basically, I could have died soon. That's why it was so serious. The reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest and overworking myself."
