Lady Gaga just can't stop teasing us. After leaking several controversial tidbits of her forthcoming ARTPOP album and multimedia project over the past couple of months, the pop star tweeted another brief video of herself on Wednesday rehearsing the new song "Swine" for her upcoming headlining performance at the London iTunes Festival this weekend.
While previous teasers have featured striking imagery of the "Poker Face" singer with smeared paint across her face, sexualized robots and Gaga frolicking in the woods blindfolded and completely naked, this clip starts off fairly innocuously with her dressed casually in a white t-shirt and black leggings sitting behind her keyboards. The song begins like a slow piano ballad, but it quickly kicks into gear with guitar riffs and Gaga wailing on the drums. And it seriously rocks!
Of course the lyrics are edgy, too. "I know you want me," she croons provocatively. "You're just a pig inside a human's body…Squealer, squealer, squeal out! You're so disgusting. You're just a pig inside. Swine." Check it out:
The singer, born Stefani Germanotta, has also been tweeting fashion suggestions to her followers for what to wear at her festival performance, which she has dubbed #SwineFest. She started off with an ocean theme and continued with some piggy attire. "I will be providing a list of acceptable attire for #SwineFest throughout the week," she wrote. "Item 1: Seashells. Item 2: Seahorses 3: Starfish." She later posted: "CONTINUED: 5: BEDAZZLED PIG NOSE 6: BOWIE MAGICIAN GARB 7: TRASHBAG or ARTCLOTHES (THERE IS A PAINT ZONE)."
Sounds like it's going to be quite a party! Gaga's performance will kick off the month-long iTunes festival on Sunday, Sept. 1. Her ARTPOP album is due to be released on November 11.
