Justin Bieber has been having a rough time of it lately. The 19-year-old teen idol has been caught on camera in recent months scuffling with photographers and had highly publicized rants and confrontations with nightclub bouncers.
On Monday night, Bieber reportedly struck a paparazzo with his white Ferrari on the streets of West Hollywood. A video shows the pop star being mobbed by photographers as he was getting into his sports car and waited patiently for them to disperse so he could drive away. As he sat behind the wheel and inched his car away from the curb, several photographers continued snapping away and many did not get out of his way.
When Bieber's friend got into the car, he motioned for people to move out of the road, and then revved up his engine and took off, hitting a man who appeared to be standing in the street.
Bieber's fans will be relieved to know that after investigating the incident, police let Bieber off the hook. According to CBS News, he is not being charged with a crime and the man's injuries aren't life-threatening. TMZ reports that police interviewed Bieber a few hours later and he was unaware that he had hit anybody. They also determined that the pedestrian was at fault for being in the roadway.
The Canadian-born singer will resume his arena tour on Saturday with a performance in San Diego before headlining two shows at the Staples Center in Los Angeles June 24 and 25.
