Idol Josiah Leming Jetpacks to Success With New Ad Song

One of my all-time favorite "American Idol" contestants, gone-too-soon Season 7 troubadour Josiah Leming (you know, the one famous for living in his car, crying, covering Mika's "Grace Kelly," and refusing to do a normal version of "Stand By Me"), is finally back on my TV. Or at least on my computer screen.

In another stellar showing from what I consider to be one of the most underrated Idols ever, Josiah has composed an original song for the new Verizon Jetpack ad campaign. You can check out a teaser above, and for the full version of the tune, go to and click on everyone in the café.

"They were looking for a musician for that spot in the ad and my agency sent me out for it," says Josiah. "I wrote the little jingle and they dug it, so they put me in!"

Congrats to Josiah for the awesome new opportunity.
