How the Houstons Will Celebrate Whitney’s 50th Birthday

It's been a year and a half since Whitney Houston passed away and today marks what would have been the iconic singer's 50th birthday.

"Omg! Insider" host Kevin Frazier spoke exclusively to Pat Houston, Whitney's sister-in-law, business partner and best friend, about how her family will be marking what would have been Whitney’s half-century marker.

“We are celebrating with a private dinner at our home here in Georgia, that was one of Whitney’s favorite birthday celebrations," Pat states. "It’s a very emotional time for all of us but she would want us to celebrate with peace, love and happiness. Today, we celebrate a legacy of a matchless gift, Whitney Houston … To all of her fans, let’s celebrate with divine peace, love and joy.”

Whitney passed away on February 12, 2012 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills at the age of 48. She died of accidental drowning due to the effects of cocaine use and heart disease.
