Even if you don't know the name the Incredible Bongo Band, you know the group's music.

Their 1973 album, "Bongo Rock," includes the song "Apache," a track that has been sampled by the likes of Nas, Jay Z, the Roots, MC Hammer and the Sugar Hill Gang, among numerous others. The history of the group founded by Michael Viner is documented in the film, "Sample This," out on September 13.

In an exclusive trailer that premiered on Yahoo! Movies, hip-hop legends Grandmaster Caz, Questlove, Melle Mel, Afrika Bambaataa and Kool Herc discuss the IBB's legacy.

"There's nothing more hip or hop than 'Apache' by the Incredible Bongo Band," Grandmaster Caz says in the trailer.
