Put Your Dreams First: Handle Your [Entertainment] Business author Thembisa Mshaka, who has launched successful marketing campaigns for the likes of 50 Cent and Beyoncé, is venturing into the world of film, releasing her first short, The Divorce Counselor, at the 21st Annual Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles.

"Mr. and Mrs. Jones are at odds and near the end of their marriage. Or so they think. With wit and heart, The Divorce Counselor examines the power of friendships and importance of therapy," Mshaka says about the film that features music from Maxwell, The Pharcyde, Avery*Sunshine and Glam.I.Rock.

Mshaka's work has been praised by hip-hop elite. "There are only a couple people I still keep in touch with from my days at Columbia, people who were totally focused on my project and did their best for me. Thembisa is one of them," 50 Cent says of Mshaka.

The Divorce Counselor premieres Saturday, February 9, at 10:05 p.m. and Thursday, February 14, at 1:25 p.m. at Rave Cinemas Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza 15 in Los Angeles. Tickets can be purchased via the Rave Cinemas website.
