Ryan Leslie, R&B producer extraordinaire and recording artist, has something special in store for this week's South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas. The musician--who has crafted tracks for Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige, and Britney Spears--will perform a set for Yahoo! on Tuesday, March 12, from 6-8pm at the new, Yahoo!-sponsored venue Brazos Hall.
The event will include a live performance, free drinks...and a very special big announcement from Yahoo!.
Although Leslie’s discography dates back to 2003, he rose to prominence in 2006 after producing Cassie’s self-titled debut album, which included the platinum top 3 single “Me & U.” Leslie made his solo debut in 2009 with his own eponymous set, a top digital album that included the hit “Addiction.” He displayed his rap skills on his most recent full-length, October 2012’s critically acclaimed Les Is More. The singer, who graduated with a degree in government from Harvard College when he was 19 years old, is planning to release his fourth album, The Black Mozart, later this year.
If you're in Austin this week, come by Brazos Hall (204 E. 4th Street, at Brazos Street) at 6pm to kick off the Music portion of SXSW with Ryan Leslie and Yahoo!
