Drake and Chris Brown were reportedly involved in a brawl Thursday morning at New York nightclub W.i.P. However, a spokesperson for Drake said "The Motto" rapper left the scene before the melee ensued.

"Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.i.P." the spokesperson said in a statement released to Yahoo! Music. "He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began. He did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property."

A spokesperson for Brown told the Associated Press that the singer, his girlfriend and other members of their party were brutally assaulted.

A spokesperson for the New York Police Department confirmed to Yahoo! Music that a fight did occur, but said no charges were filed and it was unclear who was involved.

Chris Brown posted on Twitter a photo of himself, displaying a bloody gash in his chin. He also posted angry Tweets about an altercation, but he did not refer to anyone by name. "How you party wit a rich n--ga that hate? Lol….. Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!," he wrote.

Brown also accused an antagonist of relying on bodyguards. "OK! N—gas stand behind security! !!! U don't pay them enough!" he said.

Brown suggested that he was feuding with another celebrity. He added, "And I'm the singer."

Brown has since deleted his photo and Tweets from his Twitter account.

The VIP section of the W.i.P. nightspot was trashed as depicted in photos posted on Twitter. Brown and Drake have reportedly been feuding over Rihanna, who they both dated.
