The Aftermath: Krayzie Bone Says Two Hip Hop Legends Inspired Him To End a Long-Standing Beef
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member Krayzie Bone blessed The Aftermath with a candid interview when he recently stopped by the Yahoo! Music offices.
In addition to discussing his new albums, he also shared the backstories of a couple big Bone Thugs-N-Harmony rumors.
At the 12:40 mark in the interview, he revealed the role late rap icons Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac played in encouraging the group to settle their old beef with Memphis rappers Three 6 Mafia. He also explained why they made songs like “Mr. Ouija.”
As Krayzie and the other members of Bone celebrate their 20th anniversary in hip-hop, he continues to work on solo material, and offers details on two albums, Chasing The Devil and Quick Fix.
Chasing The Devil will be a must listen for new artists. “There’s a lot of people that’s out here blindly chasing the devil, and they may not know it,” he says when explaining the album’s concept.
But don’t think Krayzie doesn’t have love for newer MCs. He’s a big fan of The Game’s song “Celebration” that remakes Bone’s “The First Of Tha Month” with assists from Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifia, Lil Wayne and Tyga. In the interview (5:30 mark), he explains how he found out about the song.
What did you think of The Game’s “Celebration” tribute?
