Who Is Your Favorite Female MC? Bangladesh Picks MC Lyte, Lil Kim, Lauryn Hill And Shawnna

Producer extraordinaire Mr. Bangladesh discussed his top female MCs during a recent interview on Yahoo! Music's The Aftermath webisode series.

It would be hard to argue with Bangladesh about his list that includes MC Lyte, Lil Kim, Lauryn Hill, and bonus artist, Shawnna.

Bangladesh explained why they made the cut:

MC Lyte: "She was one of the first respectable female MCs among males." (song: "Paper Thin")

Lil Kim: "She was the most impactful female. Her delivery was right, lyrics was right. She was eye candy." (song: "Crush On You")

Lauryn Hill: "She was the most talented. She writes, produces, she sings. She's a rapper. She was singing and rapping before anyone was really doing it." (song: "Doo Wop (That Thing)")

Bangladesh is in the process of signing Shawnna to his company. Bangladesh said Shawnna is a fearless MC. "She could be on a track with any dude and kill it," he said. (song: "RPM")
