This upcoming spring, the city of Atlanta will be home to a new reality series chronicling the lives of the next batch of hip-hop stars. WE tv will unveil its new show Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta, featuring Bow Wow, Shaniah Mauldin, Ayana Fite, Reginae Carter. Brandon Barnes, and Zonnique Pullins.
Bow Wow (real name Shad Moss) has had incredible success as a child hip-hop star after being groomed by rap heavyweights Snoop Dogg and mega-producer Jermaine Dupri. During his career, he notched three songs in Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 including his 2005 hits "Like You" featuring Ciara and "Let Me Hold You" featuring Omarion, along with his 2006 song "Shortie Like Mine" with Chris Brown. Over the years, he has segued to acting, recently landing roles in Entourage and CSI Cyber.
As far as the remaining cast members, they are the offspring of notable rap stars and hip-hop moguls. Mauldin is the daughter of Jermaine Dupri; Fite is the daughter of DJ Hurricane, who was most known for his work with the Beastie Boys; Carter is the daughter of Young Money chief Lil Wayne; Barnes is the brother of Waka Flocka Flame and son of hip-hop manager Ms. Deb; Pullins is the daughter to VH1's reality couple T.I. and Tiny.
Carter and Pullins also have history together. During the late 2000s, they were part of the the girl group OMG Girlz. In 2015, they dismembered to pursue solo careers.
