Mariah Carey has collaborated with some of the genre's most promising rising stars during the last decade-plus. The iconic singer continues the trend on her new single "Beautiful," where she teams with fellow crooner Miguel.
Carey teases the cut in a new YouTube clip.
Accented by static, a bluesy guitar riff, and a hearty laugh, the single is due May 6, according to the video.
Carey is scheduled to perform "Beautiful" May 24 as part of the "Good Morning America's 2013 Summer Concert" series.
"Beautiful" is culled from Carey's new album, the follow-up to 2009's Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, which included the single "Obsessed."
Carey's collaborations with such newer stars as John Legend, Rick Ross, and Justin Bieber have been a shrewd way for the chart-topping singer to extend her career and to keep herself relevant to generations of fans who may not have followed her work in the early 1990s.
