EDM producer and performer Deadmau5 was so preoccupied with harassing Justin Bieber's fans while he was at Toronto's Cabana Pool Bar promoting his annual Veld Festival and campaigning via Twitter to get onto BBC Two's "Top Gear" that he wrecked his chances of appearing on the program, NME reports.
The potty-mouthed Canadian electronic music pioneer subsequently lashed out at Bieber, calling him a "little pr**k" and a "little f***."
"I was so f***ing stoked that whole day, and then he shows up and, I s*** you not, I didn't think about anything else other than, 'You just f***ing ruined every chance I ever had of getting on f***ing 'Top Gear.'"'
To be fair to the little pr**k, Deadmau5 pretty much did himself in. When Bieber showed up at the event and stood next to Deadmau5, the DJ became obsessed with tweeting obnoxious messages to Bieber's fans, including, "Wanna see rage? check this out: Hey Biebs fans. I TOUCHED HIM! I DID! it was AWESOME! Nya nya. Wut now? Yeah. I touched his hand. So soft."
Deadmau5 won't have to hang his giant rodent head in shame for long. He'll be way too busy. The Veld Festival takes place in Toronto from 11 a.m. August 3 until 11 p.m. August 4 and Deadmau5 will headline the main stage on the second day. Other performers include Above & Beyond, Pretty Lights, Danny Tenaglia, Steve Aoki, Steve Angello, Dirty South, Dillon Francis, John Digweed and Victor Calderone. Justin Bieber is not expected to attend.
