Here's one for the ewwww files: A 45-year-old Connecticut man has allegedly been impersonating One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles online in an attempt to seduce underage girls.
According to local news outlet the Waterbury Republican-American, John Eastman appeared in court Thursday after being slapped with a first-degree possession of child pornography charge. He was also accused of using his computer to entice a minor, as well as employ a minor in obscene activity.
Waterman's arrest warrant was obtained by the New York Post, which reported that he used the screen name Harry.Styles888 on Skype, and allegedly told detectives he'd offer girls concert tickets in exchange for nude photos or online sex acts.
Eastman initially came under investigation when a family complained to police about a Skype conversation involving three girls and the false Styles persona. He is a previous registered sex offender and has a criminal record including fourth-degree sexual assault. He's currently in jail on $500K bond and will appear in court again next week.
Unsurprisingly, the real Harry Styles has not made any comment on this matter.
