Country star Randy Travis, who suffered heart issues and a subsequent stroke nearly one month ago, has been released from Baylor Heart Hospital according to a statement from his publicist.
This is definitely great news — however, Travis isn't going home just yet. He'll be staying at a physical therapy facility for the time being as he works on getting better.
"Thanks to all the fans and friends for your continued prayers and support as Randy continues on the road to recovery," Travis's fiancee Mary Davis said in a statement.
Travis, 54, originally entered the Texas hospital on July 7 for heart issues. He remained in critical condition all that week, received an assistive heart device and was ultimately transferred to a nearby facility for further, more intensive care. On July 10, he suffered a stroke and was operated on to relieve pressure on his brain. He has been recovering in the hospital since then.
