Blake Shelton recently stopped by "Oprah's Next Chapter", along with fellow "Voice" coach Adam Levine, and the famed talk-show host was able to get a few tidbits about how the busy country superstar is able to keep his marriage to equally busy country superstar Miranda Lambert going strong.
Shelton was forthright and his advice was simple: When work starts taking up too much time away from his wife, he's learned to say "no."
"That's on both sides of the fence," Shelton explained, noting that Lambert had just recently turned down some potential career commitments for the good of their marriage.
"She chose to take this week off and be here in L.A. with me, and spend this time with me," he related. "And I just did it with her."
In classic Shelton style--that's what he said!!!--the singer stopped himself and noted, "That sounds bad, doesn't it. I just did it with her…well, we are married, I can say that!"
"Oprah's Next Chapter: The Voice," which also features Usher and Shakira, will air Sunday, June 2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on OWN.
