Country star Chris Young was in the middle of a busy touring schedule this week, when all of a sudden his plans went totally awry. The singer was en route to his Wednesday tour stop in Montana, but instead found himself in an ambulance and is now recovering from a leg infection in a Denver hospital.
Young had no idea there was a problem until the symptoms set in. "I didn’t even know I was sick,” he said. “One minute I was fine then suddenly I’m being rushed to the hospital."
He's currently listed in stable condition and the cause of the infection is unknown. Unfortunately, he will have to remain in the hospital for at least the next 24 hours, and has canceled Wednesday's show as well as his next three appearances (check here for dates). Young anticipates returning to his tour schedule on August 21, where he'll hopefully make it on stage in Redding, Calif.
Young apologized for disappointing his fans in a statement and noted, "“I look forward to being up and around and back on the road.” Get well soon, Chris!
Young is scheduled to release his fourth album, A.M., next month.
