Michelle Williams, who recently joined Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland for a Destiny’s Child reunion at the Super Bowl, will star in her own reality show with her real life sisters.
The Entertainment One series My Sister’s Keeper will chronicle Williams’ work on her forthcoming gospel album on Light Records, the producer’s gospel music division. Williams’s third gospel set is due out this summer, and the first single is in the works.
Williams is looking forward to taping the show in Chicago with her two sisters. “Working together on my new gospel album and television series, I am excited to share with everyone a behind-the-scenes look at the inspiration and journey of recording the album, performing, fun family times and other unforgettable experiences out together with my dear sisters,” she says in a statement.
Entertainment One also produces gospel programs, Mary Mary for WeTV and The Sheard’s for BET.
Williams is also co-starring in the national tour of Fela!, playing Sandra Izsadore, the title character’s love interest. Izsadore is a tough role for Williams. “Just staying aggressive, because there is a soft side of me and I could see how I could go easy on Fela. But I’ve gotta stand my ground,” she tells Red Eye Chicago.
