Beyonce’s ‘Lemonade’ Set To Land At The Sweet No.1 Spot

Beyonce's sixth studio album is poised to make history yet again.

Beyonce’s sixth studio album Lemonade is poised to make history yet again. According to Billboard, the stunning project will confidently land at the No.1 spot on the Billboard 200, with a tally of over 500,000 copies sold since its release on Apr. 23.

The 12-track soundscape saw yet another turning point in Bey’s career with the varied content from infidelity, forgiveness, and served as an extended anthem for empowering black women across the globe. The album was also accompanied by its visual component, which premiered on HBO the same day as its release.

The images depicted showed the Houstonian’s connection to her black womanhood and her southern roots whether it was highlighting the many faces of New Orleans or her video for the country-influenced “Daddy Lessons.” Lemonade will solely be streamed on Tidal for the moment, but was made available for purchase on iTunes a few days later.

In 2013, when the “All Night” singer dropped her surprise self-titled album, it sold 991,000 units in the first 10 days of its arrival, Billboard also states. It’ll be interesting to see if Lemonade can stir up the same feat on the charts in the coming weeks, and allow Beyonce to make history as the first artist with six albums to hit the top spot.
