Beastie Boys have announced a vinyl reissue of their 1986 classic License to Ill. Cut from the original masters, the release lands October 14 via Def Jam. A press release for the reissue quotes Chuck D: “The breakthrough of License To Ill in 1986 paved the road legitimizing Rap to its USA masses, and set the barometer worldwide on the genre album format. This record also expanded HipHop diversity allowing Public Enemy's Takes A Nation to be its antithesis.”
