Beastie Boys' Adam 'Ad-Rock' Horovitz Donating Proceeds From New Shoe to Planned Parenthood

Beastie Boys' Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz is teaming with Los Angeles vegan shoes and apparel company Keep on a new shoe with proceeds going to Planned Parenthood.

The "Ramos" is a black midtop intended to keep you dry and warm in the winter with a water-resistant, nylon cordura body lined with synthetic shearling and a channel quilted, silicon coated nylon accent at the ankle, stuffed with synthetic down. It's accented with bright magenta D-ring and bungee laces, with black also included for those a little more modest.

"Winter's cold and I couldn't find a warm sneaker to walk around in," Horovitz said in a statement. "Given the outcome of our current election, it's gonna get a lot colder before we can feel that summer sun again. So I collaborated with my friend Una [Kim, founder of] Keep shoes not just because I wanted warm sneaks, but because I support small business. I support women run business. I support Asian-American run business. Net proceeds of this shoe will be donated to Planned Parenthood because I support a woman's right to choose and feel that women should not be punished for making decisions about their own lives and bodies. If you have similar beliefs, you might wanna grab a pair. Or, if you simply support fresh styles, then you too can be part of what peeps in Keeps are doing."

Keeping with Keep's business practices, The Ramos Ad Rock kicks are made cruelty-free in factories monitored for ethical working conditions.

The sneakers are available for pre-order now at Keep's online store, available for men and women with shipping scheduled for late February next year.
