The Beach Boys are putting the exclamation point on their 50th anniversary celebration with Made in California, a six CD collection featuring more than seven and a half hours of music. Along with original songs, demos and alternative takes, the Hawthorne, California, natives also stuffed Made in California with radio performances, some of which have never been released before.
Here, the Beach Boys travel back to 1964, taking the All Summer Long cut "Wendy" live in the BBC studio with stacks of vocal harmonics and deceptively sunny melancholy.
Made in California will be available August 27th; preorders are available on Amazon.
