With red lasers and contagious, synth-propelled hooks, Glasgow's CHVRCHES deliver a rousing performance of "The Mother We Share," the first single and video from their forthcoming debut album, The Bones of What You Believe (out September 24th). Shot live in April at the Village Underground in London, this eye-catching clip finds Iain Cook, Martin Doherty and Lauren Mayberry clearly on the verge of stardom.
By fusing vintage electronica, post-punk and hip-hop beats, CHVRCHES have earned a strong following and strong reception for their EP, Recover. They've drawn thousands to their sold-out, headlining tours of the U.K. and U.S. in the first half of 2013, and these massive Prince fans have since been tapped to support Depeche Mode's European arena trek this fall.
Chvrches have also set a North American tour. The first U.S. campaign gets underway on September 5th at Roseland Theater in Portland, Oregon as part of MusicfestNW. Following that two-and-a-half week run, the group will return to the States again in mid-November for an additional run of theater dates.
