The Backstreet Boys took the stage at Jimmy Kimmel Live for a pair of songs off their new album In a World Like This, which came out yesterday. The five members, dressed in all black except for Brian Littrell's neon pink sneakers, performed the album's first single and uptempo title track to a crowd of shouting fans; it could have been 1999 again.
The quintet followed up the performance with "Show 'Em What You're Made Of," the ballad that Kevin Richardson and A.J. McLean wrote for their children. The song brings out a newfound maturity in the popstars, presenting the former teen idols as fathers and husbands who just happen to be kicking off a North American tour on Friday.
