Brisbane-based producer Golden Vessel has been a household name in his native Australia since back in 2013, earning support from famed Triple J and touring nationally throughout his home country.
But it wasn't until last year's glorious debut EP Before Sleep (see his striking collaboration with brother-sister duo LASTLINGS here) that sent him spinning to U.S. shores. Since then, the fast-rising talent (born Max Byrne) has been busy at work on his follow-up set. Today, he shares the sophomore EP's first offering, "Tell The-Girl," featuring Emerson Leif, and premiering exclusively via Billboard.
The intricate instrumental floats on layered percussion as fellow Brisbane vocalist Leif's hazy tenor waxes poetic on the concept of unconditional love. "A shift away from the commonly portrayed idea of affection being earned," Byrne explains to Billboard of the track's concept. "To love someone for exactly who they are, where they are, how they are."
"Tell The-Girl" also comes with an Annelise Hickey-directed music video that Golden Vessel drops alongside the single today as well. Watch the gorgeous clip below and grab the single via Exist Recordings here.
