On Friday, ANOHNI will release a new EP, PARADISE (via Secretly Canadian/Rough Trade). Today, she announced that she will share an unreleased song, “I Never Stopped Loving You,” with fans in exchange for “a gesture of anonymous vulnerability” (as opposed to “the dollar you used to send me in the olden days,” she explains).
Describing the track as “the final piece of the puzzle” and “the song I held back,” she writes: “If you have listened to my music over the years, you know that I have publicly given something of my heart. If you would like the final song from PARADISE, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and share with me in a sentence or two what you care most about, or your hopes for the future.” She also notes, “if you mention me or my work I will not send the track. Please keep the focus on yourself.”
Anohni’s last album was 2016’s HOPELESSNESS.
