Ann Wilson's Husband Dean Wetter Arrested After Allegedly Hitting Her 16-Year-Old Twin Nephews

Heart Singer Ann Wilson's Husband Dean Stuart Wetter Charged with Assaulting Twin Teenage Nephews

Heart singer Ann Wilson's husband was arrested early Saturday morning after being accused of assaulting his 16-year-old twin nephews, Curtis and William Crowe – sons of Heart member Nancy Wilson and her former husband, writer-director Cameron Crowe.

The alleged incident took place during a Heart performance held at the White River Amphitheater in the Seattle suburb of Auburn, Washington.

Bail for Dean Stuart Wetter is said to have been set at $10,000 during a hearing at King County District Court on Monday. He will return for a second hearing Wednesday.

According to probable-cause documents obtained by the Seattle Times, the two boys were watching the performance from a backstage VIP area when they asked to view the inside of Wilson's new tour bus. Wetter agreed, warning them to be mindful of the dogs inside.

When the boys neglected to close the doors of the bus, Wetter reportedly began yelling at one, calling him names. He then proceeded to slap and punch the back of his head, "causing [the teen] pain and to see stars."

Wetter, 65, then is said to have grabbed the boy by the throat. When his twin brother attempted to intervene, Wetter reportedly grabbed him by the throat as well "and squeezed to the point he could not breathe for about five seconds before letting go."

"Since this is a family matter, it is asked that you respect their privacy," a rep for Wilson told PEOPLE in a statement.

Wilson and Wetter were married in April 2015 during an intimate ceremony in Topanga, California. "He is my friend, my angel, my husband," Wilson told PEOPLE at the time. "I am truly happy."
