'American Idol,' The Day After: Dishing About Kelly Clarkson Night and the Twitter Save

To say this was an eventful week on American Idol is about as grand an understatement as saying Jennifer Lopez is mildly attractive or Carrie Underwood has sold a few records.

SO MUCH HAPPENED.

Original Idol Kelly Clarkson mentored; the top nine sang Kelly’s songs and for the most part managed to not butcher them; Ruben Studdard and Candice Glover randomly showed up; a new Twitter “twist” called the “Idol Fan Save” suddenly came into play; and, most importantly, the Idol Fan Save failed to help the polarizing Daniel Seavey (despite him being the most-followed Season 14 contestant on Twitter), and he went home in ninth place.

So here to discuss all of this, in one epic dish session, is Season 6 alum and former TV Guide Channel Idol correspondent Brandon Rogers. Enjoy a conversation filled with mixed metaphors, conspiracy theories, sidebars, and lots of enthusiasm on today’s peppy episode of “The Day After”!
