Amanda Palmer Wants to Start Punk Supergroup With Kathleen Hanna & Avril Lavigne
Amanda Palmer announced she’s been forced to pull out of a series of live dates supporting Morrissey due to Lyme disease.
In a blog post, she explained she was “pretty f—ing sad” to have to miss the tour dates.
“I was really, really, really, really looking forward to opening for morrissey,” she wrote, in part. “The gig of a lifetime, basically, and if you know me, you know why. I got out of the hospital on tuesday, i crossed my fingers, stayed in bed, drank all the fluids, took all the tylenol, wished all the wishes, and hoped that i would recover quickly… no such luck.”
Sharing that Morrissey had wished her well, Palmer also had a silly (OR VERY REAL) idea to make things better.
now I want to start a punk supergroup of women who’ve gotten Lyme disease. me, Kathleen Hannah and, obviously, Avril. we just need a name…
