Adele Releases Adorable, Literal ‘When We Were Young’ Single Art

For anyone who can’t remember a time before Adele was a household name, the singer is doing her part to help.

Today, she released the second single from her record-breaking album 25. The song is “When We Were Young” and the artwork takes the nostalgic ballad pretty literally with a young Adele giving the camera a toothless, but still adorable, smile.

The instantly meme-able Polaroid is showing up on street corners everywhere and both Adele and her label, XL Recordings, shared examples.

For her second single, Adele took the surprising step of allowing fans to stream it on services like Spotify and Apple Music. Her album remains unstreamable – which undoubtedly helped her sell millions of copies – and late last year she explained to TIME why she’s against a service that most people use: “I know that streaming music is the future, but…I can’t pledge allegiance to something that I don’t know how I feel about yet.”

Perhaps her streaming the reflective “When We Were Young” is an ironic indication that she’s started to embrace the future.

You can watch streaming concerts on the Live Nation channel on Yahoo. Coming up tonight, it’s Ryan Bingham who’s performing at 4 p.m. PT. To watch the show, just visit here.
