News of 50 Cent’s chapter 11 protection bankruptcy filing has prompted scrutiny from the public and media. During an interview on Larry King Now, 50 Cent said he was not fazed by the criticism.

“I’ve seen so many things said about me in social networking at points. When you don’t anticipate it it lands a little harder on you,” he explained. “This I can telegraph, I can see what’s gonna come from people when they see this in advance. It’s a move that’s necessary for me to make at this point so I didn’t allow myself to create that big red/white bullseye on my back when I become the person that people consistently come to.”

50 Cent’s entire interview with King will debut on Monday, July 27 at 11 a.m. PST/2 p.m. EST on Ora TV as the season 4 premiere episode of Larry King Now. The rap star also discusses his film Southpaw, his friendships with Floyd Mayweather and Diddy, and his beef with the popular Empire series.

The Emmy-nominated show launched in 2012 and has featured interviews with numerous superstar musicians, including Snoop Dogg, Billy Ray Cyrus, Stevie Wonder, and Willie Nelson.
