Enrique Iglesias leads as the top artist on the Hot Latin Songs chart since it began 30 years ago, while Romeo Santos' "Propuesta Indecente" is the chart's all-time top song.
Hot Latin Songs began on Oct. 4, 1986, as an airplay-only chart. It became a multi-metric ranking on Oct. 20, 2012, blending U.S. radio airplay, digital sales and streaming data, as measured by Nielsen Music.
Iglesias reigns as the top artist fueled by his 21-year history on the chart and record 27 No. 1 songs. Moreover, Iglesias boasts five songs on the 50-position all-time list, more than any other act, including two in the top 10, which double as the two longest-running No. 1s in the chart's history: his 2015 collaboration with Nicky Jam, "El Perdon," which lands at No. 7 on the ranking, after spending 30 weeks at No. 1 in 2010, and "Bailando," featuring Descemer Bueno and Gente de Zona, which stands at No. 8, having logged an unprecedented 41 weeks atop the chart in 2014-15.
Notably, his famous father, Julio Iglesias, also secures a spot on the songs list, at No. 43 with his 1987 hit, "Lo Mejor de Tu Vida."
Santos' 2013 smash "Propuesta Indecente" is the top song since the inception of Hot Latin Songs, largely due to the sheer number of weeks that it spent on the chart. The track more than doubled the previous record of the longest-charting song, logging 125 weeks on the ranking from August 2013 to December 2015. (Prince Royce's 2012 hit "Incondicional" is second with 62 weeks; per chart rules, after 52 charting weeks, a song must stay in the top five to remain on the chart.) Remarkably, "Propuesta" spent 123 of its 125 weeks in the top five, thanks to its continued strong airplay, sales and streams. Its popularity is also reflected by the more than 1 billion views for its video on YouTube.

Methodology: The Greatest of All Time Top Latin Songs and Top Latin Songs Artists rankings are based on weekly performance on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart, from its Oct. 4, 1986, inception through Oct. 1, 2016. Songs on the all-time chart are ranked based on an inverse point system, with weeks at No. 1 earning the greatest value and weeks at lower spots earning the least. Due to changes in chart methodology over the years, eras are weighted differently to account for chart turnover rates over various periods. Artists on the all-time chart are ranked based on the combined point totals, as outlined above, of all their Hot Latin Songs chart entries.
