Police say rapper 2 Chainz was robbed Sunday evening before a concert in Oakland, the The Associated Press reports, however the MC has seemingly denied the claim on Twitter.
According to Sgt. Dennis Toomer, 2 Chainz, real name Tauheed Epps, was walking with his entourage when they were approached by three men, who robbed him of his cellphone and wallet. One of the men was reportedly holding a gun, and a shot was fired.
Despite the police report, 2 Chainz took to Twitter where he denied that was held up: "Rule #1 if a rapper gets robbed people usually post items that has been taken. Rings, chains, watch, money etc. 2 answer that question." He followed that up with: "Rule #2 if a rapper gets shot he usually go to hospital or dies."
According to Radio.com, Toomer confirmed again that Epps was indeed the victim. He added that those involved in the robbery "are being very uncooperative," and that no suspects have been located or identified.
