'Zootopia' Trailer: Disney's Next Animated Film Stars Pants-Wearing Foxes and Bunny Cops

Fans of the empire built on an anthropomorphized mouse will soon visit a city filled entirely with pants-wearing, cosmopolitan animals.

The first teaser trailer for Disney Animation’s upcoming film Zootopia, which you can see above, explains the movie’s basic premise: In an alternate universe in which humans never evolved, animals have developed into highly advanced and social creatures, who hold down jobs, wear ties and slacks, and even have an organized police force. The city of Zootopia, where animals from all over the world congregate, is the epicenter of this society, with sectors such as Tundratown and Sahara Square.

Jason Bateman voices Nick Wilde, the wily fox at the center of the film, while Ginny Goodwin plays Judy Hopps, the eager rabbit who moves from rural Bunny Burrows to the big city to become a cop. They are unlikely friends, but end up needing each other’s help.

The film, directed by Wreck-It Ralph’s Rich Moore and Tangled’s Byron Howard, hits theaters on March 4th.
